Interested in Wrestling at UWM? |
| A note from Coach Koy Kosek: We are excited about the continued growth of wrestling in Wisconsin, particularly at the college level. The Wrestling Club at UW-Milwaukee wrestles a full schedule, including several major opens, traveling out of state for competition on several occasions, and being ranked as high as #14 in the NCWA national coaches’ poll and team points standings. We have a proven record for producing All-Americans. As you probably know, the NCWA is a national association for college and university clubs, with a current roster of over 100 teams. You can find more information at www.ncwa.net. As a club, we have a lot to offer interested students. We train five days a week from October until March. Our wrestlers have made a commitment to being their best, without the pressure of sacrificing their academic and career goals. In fact, our team’s average GPA for the first semester was 3.07. We expect that UWM Wrestling Club members will be prepared to work hard in class and on the mat. We have a very positive attitude, always building each other up, to be our best. I am looking for hard-working wrestlers who want to continue improving their wrestling skills, to achieve greatness.
